Meet the Staff
We are happy to welcome you to Villa Montemeccoli and hope to make you will feel at home here. The first sighting of Montemeccoli on early maps shows the villa to have been built in the late 1600s during a time when the wealthiest families of Florence would make a villeggiatura – or seasonal move - from city to country to recharge the body and mind. Whether you are here for a wedding, the wonderful food of the region or exploring the history of the city, our goal is that you walk away feeling like you were visiting friends and leave with a sense of renewing as in the centuries old Italian concept of villeggiatura.
