Located between rolling hills and 7 miles from the Florence city center sits a charming 17th century villa known as Montemeccoli. The panoramic, high position overlooking the infinite expanse of vineyards that frame it, together with its historical and architectural prestige, make it one of the most unique properties in countryside. The villa provides an oasis of intimacy, tranquility and timeless elegance just minutes away from the heart of the Renaissance.
The 8,255 SF property sits on 6 acres overlooking its 300-tree olive grove in the rolling countryside hill town of Impruneta. Amenities include 7 bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms (including the separate carriage house which contains a separate kitchen/dining & Living room), a professional chef’s kitchen, a great room, lounge, office, cellar, covered outdoor dining containing a wood-fired oven and a full-sized pool and cabana. The master bedroom suite comes complete with a workout room and sauna.
The historical Tuscan villa* recently underwent a major renovation to bring it to 5-star standards with its intimate, discreet luxury in absolutely stunning style and surroundings. Visiting the villa feels like visiting friends at their luxurious country mansion, renewing the centuries old Italian concept of villeggiatura, or a seasonal move from city to country to recharge the body and mind. The welcoming design is a mix of Italian pieces and current pieces making it feel interesting and collected and invoking a feeling of peaceful sophistication and fun all at the same time. The owners’ ultimate goal was to create an atmosphere in which guests feel they are not staying in a hotel but rather in an iconic countryside Italian villa.

Villa Montemeccoli offers different solutions for every kind of celebration: weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate or private events. Concierge service will assist guests to create an a la carte experience, including a chef to prepare meals, cooking classes, car and scooter rental, massage services, transportation services and much more. We can also help to curate excursions to historic towns in the region such as Florence, San Gimignano, Lucca and Sienna, or many of the wineries and olive oil producers in the Tuscany/Chianti region. If your stay is during olive harvest you could visit Antico Frantoio Doglia , where the olives are harvested and pressed for Villa Montemeccoli’s own olive oil.
